Description:
Divide the class into small groups (size depends on the difficulty you want and the item you use).  The group is given a platform (hula-hoop, foam platform, piece of plastic).  The object of the game is to see if you can get your entire group to stand in or on the designated item for 10 seconds.  If successful, you can make the area smaller or add more people to the group.  The rules are simple; all players must be in or on the designated area for 10 seconds.

Modifications:
Increase or decrease the size of the balance area.
Increase or decrease the number of students in a group.
Change the way they must balance or stand in the balance area.
Increase or decrease the length of time they must balance.

Safety:
If falling, don’t pull or disturb people around you.
Have soft mats around the balance area in case of falls.
